These implants are indispensable when working with the soft bone of the jaw, because their feature is initial stability. They do not destroy the precious bone by displacing it in the place of attachment of the implant, which often happens when wider implants are installed in soft bone.AnyRidge implant systems differ in that they have a standard implant core, but it is complemented by a different depth of thread, which allows working with any bone density.This preserves bone tissue, reduces overall bone loss, and provides optimal initial stability.
In addition, the innovative threading of the AnyRidge implant allows for smooth and easy placement, leaves room for blood circulation and provides a larger surface area for faster osseointegration. And all this without the likely subsequent necrosis of the bone.
There is always one big indication for installing implants — the loss of a native tooth due to some disease or after a physiological injury (or if the tooth has not even formed — sometimes there are cases where there is no rudiment of a permanent tooth).
But in order for the implant to successfully take root in the bone tissue of the jaw, that is, the process of osseointegration takes place, you need to pay attention to some points, which we will talk about now.
At the same time, there are contraindications for installing implants, that is, cases in which implants cannot be installed.
But it is worth noting that these contraindications can be relative: they can be, but at the same time not interfere with the installation of implants in an individual case. So consult your doctor instead of jumping to conclusions.
Here is a list of the main contraindications for the installation of AnyRidge implants:
Before the age of 20, the bone tissue is not yet fully formed, so installing implants at this age should not be done. But there is an exception when, even at this age, the indication for installing an implant is trauma or the need to reconstruct the dentition.
When the bone tissue is formed (patients older than 20 years), implants can be installed at any age. The only downside to installing an implant in the elderly is the slow regeneration and longevity of the implant. Although there are cases when implants take root in elderly people better than in young people, but here it is better to pay attention to the individual characteristics of the body.
And, of course, there are limited possibilities of installing Swiss AnyRidge implants in the case of “fragile” and weak bone tissue, which we wrote about in the section on contraindications.
Before installing an implant (or implants), the patient must consult with an orthopedist and an implant dentist, as well as undergo a computer tomography of the jaws. Only after that, the doctor can set a date for implant placement.
On the day of the operation, our NOWA assistants prepare the room for the implantation procedure. The process of sterilization of the office lasts for 2 (two) hours and includes all the manipulations necessary for the safe installation of the implant.
On the appointed day and time, the implant installation procedure takes place directly. Despite the fact that the preparation of the dentist’s office for implantation lasted so long, the actual implantation process in most cases lasts from 20 to 30 minutes. During this time, the patient is anesthetized, an implant and, if necessary, a gum former are installed.
After 2-6 months, the implant takes root. When this happens, the dentist can install an abutment (the transition piece that attaches the crown to the implant) and take impressions of the jaw (analog or digital, or silicone or optical) to make an implant crown.
So this is the final stage of implantation — prosthetics or manufacturing and installation of an artificial crown.
It is worth noting that in cases of complete absence of teeth, instead of one crown, six months after the installation of the implant, first a temporary, and then a permanent prosthesis for the entire jaw is installed.
An implant is an artificial element of the dentition, but this does not mean that it should not be taken care of.
In addition to standard dental cleaning procedures, after installation of AnyRidge implants, you need to visit the dentist every six months for professional teeth cleaning and monitoring of the condition of the implant. That is, if you visited the dentist every 6 months before that, then, in fact, nothing will change.
However, if this recommendation is not followed, peri-implantitis may develop over time, a disease that causes inflammation of the bone tissue that surrounds the implant.
Based on the statistics on the number of installations and the survival rate of implants in the NOWA clinic, we boldly say that you should not be afraid of rejection.
Over the entire history of the clinic and all installed implants (we regularly update this figure on the implantation page), we had less than 2% of cases of implant rejection.
